The passion of pink for weddings and home decor

.

The culture of pink for some is portrayed as a color for little girls. For men, pink goes in and out of style making a statement in clothing, most people believe pink is a feminine delicate color.

Red and pink denote love while red is hot passion, pink is romance. Hot pink is a playful while pastel pink is tenderness. Multiple shades of pink and light purple or other pastels used together maintain the soft, delicate, and playful nature of pink. Add strength and vibrancy with darker shades of pinks, purple and burgundy.

By choosing shades of pink carefully and considering which other colors compliment each other, pink wedding colors are an absolute must for those of you tying the knot in 2007/8. With pink being very versatile and a great color on many levels it can pretty much go with everything from flowers, candle décor, wedding reception décor to clothing for the wedding party. Decorate your tables with a display of floating candles, pillar candles, and sphere candles, in various sizes with contrasting colors for a striking centerpiece arrangement.

Pink by nature is not a seasonal color, yet more and more pink is showing up in fall and winter weddings not necessarily reserved for the spring and summer seasons any longer.

For spring weddings, you could introduce shades of lilac, buttercup yellow and sage green for a lighter feel when paired together with soft shades of pink. Bright and vibrant shades of deep pinks together with softer pinks are key colors for spring and summer weddings.
Tying the knot in the autumn months, try pink with chocolate browns, these shades are no longer exclusive to spring and summer weddings. For a winter affair, try a light shade of pink, black, white or silver ideal colors for a classy winter weddings.

Another advantage for choosing pink as your main wedding color is that your floral options are available throughout most of the year at all florists.

All said and done are you tickled pink yet. Go pink, make a statement, it is your wedding day after all.
