NanGuang LED Lights

Introduced over here by UK distributor Kenro, NanGuang specialises in continuous LED lighting, with compact, flat panel LED lights aimed at both photographers and vidographers, along with Fresnel lights, portable lighting cases, light stands and product photography kits. Obviously the key advantage with LED lights is that not only do they provide even illumination, they are also cool to the touch.

Swelling the NanGuang range are Portable LED Photo Lighting Cases.

These utilise high-efficiency LEDs to enable photographers to take shadow-less pictures of small objects and come supplied with six backgrounds and built-in soft LED lights, which can be individually dimmed to achieve the desired effect. Medium and large models are available, with a protective carry case provided.

An alternative for product or still life photography, particularly those shooting small objects for online retailing, is the three-head NanGuang LED Photo Light Kit. This inexpensive kit claims to provide flicker-free soft illumination and comes supplied ready to use with three heads, stands and a mini photo table.

There are also a handful of NanGuang Portable Photo Lights to choose from; again these are LED panels that can be ustilised hand held, attached to a stand or to the camera itself. As well as being easy to transport, the lights can be used in confined spaces or as a fill-in light.

More compact alternatives worth exploring include the NanGuang LED Luxpad 22 and Luxpad 43. These emit soft, diffused gentle light suitable for portrait work, product photography or video.

Photographers looking for alternatives to use in the studio are meanwhile directed to NanGuang’s LED Fresnel Light offerings (model numbers CN-20FC and CN-30F) that are designed for studio use and include Fresnel lens for alternating the light between a narrow or wide beam, plus ‘barn doors’. There are also larger-format LED Studio Light panels (CN-T340 and CN-T504) lights that can be stand mounted. As the breadth of choice indicates, the range is pretty comprehensive.
