Martin Agius photographer in Gzira Malta Type business: Aspiring Enthusiast My photographic style: Family Portraits, Conventions, Parties, Photo Journalism My greatest strengths: Photo Journalism, Family Portraits I have been in photography: 3 Years How I got started in photography: I always enjoyed taking pictures, until I bought my first DSLR and my passion moved me more into Photography skills My personality: Friendly, Out Going and making new friends. Geographic areas I cover: Malta I found inspiration from: Kevin Casha Photographic training: Fast Track Photography, Kevin Casha, MIPP and SWPP My interests outside photography: Computers, Reading, Football, Travelling. Why I like the SWPP: The Conventions that SWPP & BPPA do in Malta are Fantastic Future plans: Get the LMIPP and LSWPP Type business: Semi Professional Photographer My photographic style: Photo Journalism, Sports, Portraiture, Fashion & Glamour, Boudoir etc My greatest strengths: Photo Journalism & Sports I have been in photography: Five years seriously and all my life taking pix. How I got started in photography: One day I decided to take a course in Photography to take better shots and from than on I cannot stop. My photographic skills: My key skills are capturing the moment by being patient, studying around me and snap when the occasion arise. I like working with Flashes by using umbrellas and softboxes when I'm working with people but also use natural light. My personality: I love meeting people, making new friends and very passionate on photography. Love traveling and outgoing. Geographic areas I cover: Malta but if an occasion arise to work or do a job in another country, I will definitely have a go at it. Venues I frequently attend: Anything that gives me an income will do but Sports & Journalism is my favourite. I found inspiration from: Kevin Casha, Ramon Sammut, Faye and Trevor Yerbury and The Big Dog Damian McGillicuddy. Success in photography: Gold Awards in The Societies' Monthly Image Competition and the latest The Societies' Press and News Photographer of the Year 2011. Photographic training: Fast Track Photography by Kevin Casha, MIPP and SWPP Seminars, Talks, Courses and Conventions. Advance Course in Image Editing by Ramon Sammut. My interests outside photography: Travelling, Reading, Walking and IT. Major events: Done Twenty Seven Years in the Armed Forces of Malta is a big Event in my life but I also won some awards in Pistol Shooting in tournaments with competition from UK, Italy and the Maltese Police Force. Why I like the SWPP: The SWPP really do a lot to Photographers. Whatever you need you will find it. Competitions are a great asset to know where you stand, Conventions in Malta and UK are fantastic, great experience and a lot to learn from great speakers. Future plans: I always want to get better and I want to get my AMIPP & ASWPP qualification. What you don't see ask for.
